British Library has released over a million public domain illustrations and other images to the public through Flickr for anyone to reuse, remix or repurpose, which includes over 65,000 books from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries.

With funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the UCSB Libraries have created a digital collection of nearly 8,000 cylinder recordings held by the Department of Special Collections. In an effort to bring these recordings to a wider audience, they can be freely downloaded or streamed online.

ITMA is the largest Irish music collection in existence. They publish selections of digitized materials from the collection on this site; presented in four sections: Sound Recordings, Visual Materials, Printed Items, and Interactive Music Scores. Search the entire library for separate items by using the search function, or browse each section individually. NOTE: most of the language used on this site is traditional Irish Gaelic.

This is a website from the Florida State University Judaica Sound Archives which collects, preserves, and digitizes Judaica sound recordings. The website only holds about 10% of the archives but if you visit one of the "Research Station" universities, you can access the entire archives.

This collection illustrates the vibrant and diverse forms of popular entertainment, especially vaudeville, that thrived from 1870-1920. Included are 334 English- and Yiddish-language playscripts, 146 theater playbills and programs, 61 motion pictures, 10 sound recordings and 143 photographs and 29 memorabilia items documenting the life and career of Harry Houdini. Groups of theater posters and additional sound recordings will be added to this anthology in the future.

The Moldenhauer Archives at the Library of Congress contain approximately 3,500 items documenting the history of Western music from the medieval period through the modern era and is the richest composite gift of musical documents ever received by the Library. Before his death, Hans Moldenhauer (1906-1987) established a directive and provided funds for the Library of Congress to publish The Rosaleen Moldenhauer Memorial: Music History from Primary Sources: a Guide to the Moldenhauer Archives.

The Louisiana State Museum Digital Library Jazz collection is composed of photographs, audio recordings and musical instruments from the collections of the Louisiana State Museum. Primarily dealing with traditional New Orleans jazz, the collections focus on photographs (including all of the Museum's images of Louis Armstrong) and audio recordings of musicians and bands that were primarily active in New Orleans, although many toured throughout the country and the world.

This is a web-component to the famous Milken Archive of Jewish Music. Currently still in Beta testing, it should be finished in April. The site provides excerpts of Jewsih music, Yiddish Theatre (with lyrics), oral histories, photos, glossary, and some bio info. There is a price to download the full song or video. The music represented in the archive is divided into 6 categories of music: liturgical & sacred; theatrical; folk; popular/ commercial; and classical concert music.

This is the online card catalogue for the Music Department of the National Library of France. This covers holdings entered into the catalogues of the library from the sixteenth century through 1991, when the card catalogue was closed. It does not (yet) include the Conservatory collection (F-Pc) that is physically part of F-Pn; digitizing that card catalogue is the next project.

College of Music Program Books contain digitized programs for recitals, concerts, operas, and other musical events of the UNT College of Music, beginning with the 1988-1989 school year.

The Virtual Music Rare Book Room is composed primarily of digitized materials held in the UNT Music Library's Edna Mae Sandborn Music Rare Book Room. The collection is particularly strong in 18th-century French opera.
